Signature Events
The Bethlehem Chamber hosts a variety of events each year offering opportunities to network, connect, grow and learn. By providing diversified event formats at various times of the day, our aim is to provide plenty of options so that everyone is able to find something that will work with their schedule.
Annual Awards Event
Our Annual Awards Event is held in October and is the premier business and community networking event in Bethlehem. The event gives provides the opportunity to recognize and celebrate the accomplishments of Chamber members and members of the community throughout the year. It is also a chance to reflect on the past year and share goals for the future. Past Winners and Awards
Travel with the Chamber: Rome & the Amalfi Coast 2024
The Bethlehem Chamber presents a trip each fall working through our member Plaza Travel Center located in Latham. The 2024 trip will be to Rome and the Amalfi Coast Sept. 30-Oct. 9. The trip includes round trip ground transportation from Delmar and air fare. An itinerary and details of the trip plus possible add-ons can be found in the printed material here. And a video of a recent presentation at the Chamber can be found here. Trips booked by March 25, 2024 are completely refundable for any reason. After March 25, trip can be refunded minus any insurance paid.
First Night Bethlehem
The Chamber is proud to be the organizing partner for the Town’s annual First Night celebration. The Chamber has been involved since the beginning which started with other organizational partners. The event kicks off with entertainment in the Four Corners area of Delmar on the last night of the year, Dec. 31. It includes photo ops with an ice carving and Hamlet the Chamber’s mascot, offers family-friendly activities and give-aways, and culminates with a fireworks show.
Golf Outing
The annual Golf Outing is one of the most popular events with a relaxed, fun game – business owners and members of the community come together to enjoy a day of golf and networking. It is a scramble format with a shotgun start. Players enjoy 18 holes of golf, fun contests, a raffle auction, and meal. The Outing is scheduled the first week in June.
Biking, Burgers & Beverages
BBB started in 2023, and was an instant hit with the community. The event is held on the Albany County Helderberg-Hudson Rail Trail, which stretches 10 miles from Albany to Voorheesville through Bethlehem. This paved multi-use bike and pedestrian path is an amazing recreational trail, and dotted with a variety of restaurants, pubs, and small shops. The event is an opportunity for businesses to showcase their product and location, and how accessible they are from the Trail.
Networking
These sessions are held at various location, including regular sessions at the Chamber office. . Business owners, individuals, colleagues, clients and friends are all encouraged to attend – these casual events are a fantastic way to make new connections.
The Women's Networking group meets the first Thursday of the month and rotates locations. Check the Calendar of Events for the next location.
Two new sessions include Coffe-rsations on the 2nd Tuesday of the month, at 8:30 am at the Chamber office; and TEa Time the 3rd Thursday of the month at 4 pm.
Professional Development Opportunities
Throughout the year the Chamber offers opportunities for our members to grow and learn. The Brown Bag Lunch & Learn Series ranges from seminars to workshops, featuring business strategies and new laws and regulations and other relevant sessions to assist the members in helping them develop and succeed.
Small Business Saturday
Held the Saturday after Thanksgiving, the Bethlehem Chamber uses this nationwide event to shine a light on local businesses. Shoppers are encouraged to buy local and #ShopSmall. Members who are offering a Small Business Saturday promotion or who are doing something special in their shop receive extra promotion in the Chamber’s e-newsletter and on our social media channels.
