Glenmount Roundabout Update – Spring

With spring just around the corner, we wanted to provide a brief update on some preliminary work happening next week as we gear up for the final phase and completion of the roundabout project.

Starting the week of March 7, National Grid's contractor, Dekatherm, is expected to be working along Route 9W (outside the roadway) between the Price Chopper driveway and Bender Lane. Their work will include relocation of the existing gas line. The Route 9W northbound shoulder will be closed without disruption to travel along Route 9W. Work should extend through the month of March.

Once the gas line relocation is completed, the roundabout contractor, Rifenburg, is expected to begin the final phase of the roundabout construction in April. The gas line relocation will allow for the final piece of sidewalk construction between the Price Chopper Driveway and Bender Lane. The final phase also includes landscaping and final paving of the roundabout.

We will begin distributing weekly newsletter updates again once Rifenburg's schedule is finalized in late March/early April.
