The Bethlehem Chamber hosts a variety of events each year that offer opportunities to network, connect, grow and learn. By providing diversified event formats at various times of the day, our aim is to provide plenty of options so that everyone is able to find something that will work with their schedule.
Annual Awards Dinner
Our Annual Awards Dinner is held every April and is the premier business and community networking event in Bethlehem. The event gives us the opportunity to recognize and celebrate the accomplishments of our Chamber members and members of the community throughout the year. It is also our chance to reflect on the past year and share our goals for the future.
First Night Bethlehem
We are proud to be one of the organizing partners for our Town’s annual First Night celebration. The Chamber has been involved since the beginning and in addition to the Town, we work alongside Friends of Bethlehem Parks and Recreation, Bethlehem Senior Projects, Bethlehem Opportunities Unlimited, and the Bethlehem Community Fund all year long to bring this family friendly New Year’s event to life. The event kicks off with fireworks, followed by entertainment and activities at different venues within walking distance of Four Corners. Proceeds from button sales go to programs that benefit those in need in our community.
Our annual Golf Outing is one of our most popular events due to the relaxed, fun nature of the event – business owners and members of the community come together to enjoy a day of golf and networking. We offer a scramble format with a shotgun start. Players enjoy lunch, 18 holes of golf, fun contests, a raffle to benefit local charities, and dinner.
Holiday Shopping Card
This card is created once a year and allows businesses to offer specials and discounts to the community from Small Business Saturday through December 31. The card is distributed to the community via the Spotlight, Delmar Turkey Trot, participating businesses, at the Saturday Farmers Market, and in other key community locations. Participating businesses receive both online and print promotion by way of the Chamber website, e-newsletter, social media channels, and local print ads.
This eagerly anticipated annual event focuses on supporting our local restaurants. The Monday after Mother’s Day always kicks off our event. Restaurants create special menus at a fixed price that diners are able to enjoy all week long. People use this opportunity to try out new restaurants and to support their favorite local eateries.
We partner with other local chambers several times a year to provide our members with the opportunity to connect beyond Bethlehem. These events include speed networking, a business expo, opening day at Saratoga Race Course, a Tri-City ValleyCats game, and more.
These after-hours sessions are held at local restaurants or bars. Attendees can drop by any time during the two-hour event. Business owners, individuals, colleagues, clients and friends are all encouraged to attend – these casual events are a fantastic way to make new connections.
Networking at Noon – NEW!
It can be a challenge for some people to attend networking events in the morning or after work, so this quarterly event allows our members to still get a chance to benefit from valuable networking during business hours. At this casual event members have the chance to catch up with contacts and meet new ones while enjoying light refreshments.
Professional Development Opportunities
Throughout the year the Chamber offers opportunities for our members to grow and learn. Ranging from seminars to workshops, we are always researching business strategies and new laws and regulations so we can offer relevant sessions so our members can develop and succeed.
Small Business Saturday
Held the Saturday after Thanksgiving, the Bethlehem Chamber uses this nationwide event to shine a light on our local businesses. Shoppers are encouraged to buy local and #ShopSmall. Members who are offering a Small Business Saturday promotion or who are doing something special in their shop receive extra promotion in the Chamber’s e-newsletter and on our social media channels. We also use this day to kick off our Holiday Shopping Card.
