WHAT’S HAPPENING NOW

Week of December 6

  • No nighttime work is scheduled for this week.
  • Concrete will be poured to complete the “splitter” islands, which divide incoming and outgoing roundabout traffic.
  • Permanent roundabout signage will be installed.
  • Sidewalk installation will continue around the perimeter of the roundabout. Any unfinished sidewalks will be completed with temporary pavement for the winter shutdown.
  • Road striping will be painted on all travel lanes of the roundabout.
  • Mulch and topsoil will be laid on all unfinished project surfaces to aid mitigation of stormwater runoff during the winter shutdown.
  • Resurfacing will be completed on all driveway access to local businesses.

Traffic Impact: In daytime hours, expect lane shifts, shoulder closures, traffic stoppages and brief delays as equipment is moved in and out of the work area.

WHAT’S HAPPENING NEXT

Week of December 13

  • No nighttime work is scheduled for this week.
  • Mulch and topsoil will be laid on all unfinished project surfaces to aid mitigation of stormwater runoff during the winter shutdown.
  • Various project “clean-up” tasks will be completed.

Construction on the Glenmont Roundabout is tentatively anticipated for winter shutdown on Friday, December 17.
