WHAT'S HAPPENING NOW

Week of November 8

  • Nighttime work not expected this week.
  • The center island of the roundabout will have curb installed on Monday and Tuesday. Concrete for the center island truck apron will be poured on Wednesday and Thursday.
  • Curbing for “splitter” islands, which divide incoming and outgoing roundabout traffic, will be installed on all sides of the roundabout beginning Friday.
  • Some permanent roundabout signage may be erected.
  • Sidewalk installation will continue around the outer edge of the roundabout.
  • Work will continue on a new stormwater retention chamber and purification system along Route 9W near Price Chopper.
  • Work will be finished on a vegetated swale along Route 9W near Price Chopper.

Traffic Impact: In daytime hours, flaggers will direct traffic around the construction zone when necessary. Expect lane shifts, shoulder closures and brief traffic stoppages throughout the week as equipment is moved in and out of the work area. Expect traffic delays.

WHAT'S HAPPENING NEXT

Week of November 15

  • Work will continue on “splitter” islands, which divide incoming and outgoing roundabout traffic. Installation on all sides of the roundabout on Monday and Tuesday.
  • Crews will pour concrete to complete the “splitter” islands on Thursday and Friday.
  • Sidewalk installation will continue around the outer edge of the roundabout.
  • Work will continue on a new stormwater retention chamber and purification system along Route 9W near Price Chopper.
  • Possible nighttime work on Thursday and Friday for binder course pavement on Route 9W.

Traffic Impact: In daytime hours, expect lane shifts, shoulder closures and brief traffic stoppages as equipment is moved in and out of the work area. Expect traffic delays
