WHAT'S HAPPENING NOW

Week of October 4

  • No nighttime work is expected on the Glenmont Roundabout this week.
  • Excavation will continue at the corner of Town Squire Plaza (Price Chopper) to widen the intersection for the roundabout, add drainage and prepare to install curb and asphalt.
  • Relocation of Verizon overhead utility lines will continue.
  • Curb and sidewalk work continues along Glenmont Road.
  • Storm water management/drainage work continues during daytime along Route 9W.
Traffic Impact: In daytime hours, shoulder closures on Route 9W and single-lane alternating traffic on Glenmont Road.  Traffic impacts are anticipated.

Benderson Development is installing a two-way center left-turn on Route 9W along Glenmont Plaza frontage. Minimal work will begin the week of this week with night work on either Wednesday, Oct. 6 or Thursday, Oct. 7. At nighttime, the Route 9W roadway in front of Glenmont Plaza will be limited to an alternating one-way lane closure starting at 9 p.m. Nighttime work is expected to continue the week of Oct. 11. Benderson Development has planned the work now to take advantage of existing roundabout construction in order to limit the overall timeframe of construction occurring in this area of the Town.
