WHAT’S HAPPENING NOW
Week of September 6
* Stormwater management/drainage work continues during daytime.
* Preparation continues for sidewalks along Glenmont Road.
* Contractor will be drilling underneath Feura Bush Road for gas line relocation.
* Relocation of overhead utility lines will continue.
* Overnight work will take place Tuesday night (Sept. 7) through Saturday night (Sept. 11) to install water mains on Glenmont Road and Route 9W, sanitary sewer main and stormwater drainage on Route 9W.
* Existing sewer lines will be rehabilitated on Thursday, September 9 and Friday, September 10. Some residents and businesses may lose sanitary sewer service for up to six (6) hours, and should avoid using large amounts of water in toilets, showers, baths, sinks, dishwashers, washing machines and other appliances as sewer lines will be capped and sewage backups could occur. Affected residents and businesses will be notified of sewer service interruptions by the contractor seven (7) days in advance. You may also notice an unpleasant odor as the new sewer lining cures. This is normal and non-harmful, however if you feel ill effects please leave the area and seek medical attention.
Traffic Impact: In daytime hours, lane shifts on Route 9W and single-lane alternating traffic on Glenmont Road. Traffic impacts are anticipated. In nighttime hours, lane closures will take place during water line, sewer and drainage work. Expect delays.
