Public Library
Bethlehem Public
Library owns nearly 170,000 items and is linked via
the Upper Hudson Library Access Network to the holdings of
other libraries in the region. Circulation is over half a
million loans per year. Reference staff answer about
70,000 questions annually. Print materials, on-line
resources, and programs for youth, parents, professionals,
job and college seekers are available. The media
department loans a variety of compact discs, CD-ROMs,
audio cassettes and videos, and runs TV-31 Bethlehem, the
town's public access television studio located in the
library building.
Special services include the career resources center,
small business center, parent-teacher collection, and
resources for the disabled, including large-print and
audiobooks, a RISE radio reading service receiver, and
delivery service for the homebound. Public Internet
stations and a multimedia homework station are also
available.

is another source of library services and information, and
includes special links for youth, media and genealogy.
Two meeting rooms may be reserved by Bethlehem community
groups, and exhibit spaces are available for display of
artwork and collectibles.
Library-sponsored programs and events are planned
year-round for all ages, and include story hours, book
discussion groups for youth and adults, Library Day, the
annual Wenzl lecture, and Evenings on the Green, a summer
outdoor concert series.

Library hours are Monday-Friday 9 to 9, Saturday 10 to 5,
and Sunday 1 to 5 (except summers). Library facilities and
